The Marion Enterprise Center is a Shovel-Ready Project

A Shovel Ready project is one that boasts a significant advantage for prospective businesses in that it significantly reduces the risk associated with the development and construction of business facilities.  Furthermore, a Shovel Ready project eliminates many of the time consuming due diligence items since the original developer has previously taken care of them.

The Marion Enterprise Center will be a Shovel Ready project that improves its competitive edge by giving more certainty for businesses in locating and building quickly. This is a distinct advantage for companies that are ready to expand or relocate in the near future, erasing the long wait typically associated with locating and acquiring suitable land.

By mid 2011, the Marion Enterprise Center will have all utilities and infrastructure available to each building site within the project.  These utilities include sanitary sewer, water and storm-sewer improvements.  Small utilities that include gas, electric, fiber optic, phone, cable, etc, are expected to be available shortly thereafter.  In addition, the MEC has provided an extensively graded site to offer prospect buildings ease in obtaining building pad areas to effectively manage the amount of dirt to be moved on each lot.
